September 21st is an important day in the history of our company. 11 years ago, before there was a YouTube, before there was mass audience and award shows, we launched our website, “RavenStake.com” and began the journey that has led us to now.
It’s hard to fathom that we have been doing this now for 11 years of our lives online, and never could have predicted then where we would be today. We went from 2 brothers with a dream to make TV & Film, to becoming one of the most passionate people for the evolution of entertainment, and to create a conversation with viewers like never before, and us, along with so many of our incredible peers who we are lucky to also call friends, pioneered a whole new industry. And we find ourselves being able to create content across all platforms due to the revolution we had a part of starting, and continuing to this day.
People can stigmatize what all of us do all they want. We have all faced with and dealt with it for more than a decade and it continues to this day. but the tides are changing. We are not going anywhere. This evolution of content is groundbreaking not just due to the creators who make the content, but all of you, the viewers you watch. You all have chosen to watch content in a new medium, just as we chose to create it for a new medium. This is a revolution because we are all in it together. Creator and viewer.
The concept that there is need to differentiate talent and content as “traditional media” or “new media” is the past. It is all just content. It is all just entertainment. What matters is “Is this good?” and/or “Do people love and watch this”. It’s time to stop the labels of “traditional media” or “new media” and treat it as one in the same.
Thank you to our audience for supporting us whether it’s been all 11 years or more recently. You allow us to do what we do.
